چکیده

It is shown that there is a precise sense in which the Heisenberg uncertainty between fluxes of electric and magnetic fields through finite surfaces is given by (one-half h̄ times) the Gauss linking number of the loops that bound these surfaces. To regularize the relevant operators, one is naturally led to assign a framing to each loop. The uncertainty between the fluxes of electric and magnetic fields through a single surface is then given by the self-linking number of the framed loop which bounds the surface. Bending analysis of magneto-electro-thermo-elastic functionally graded nanobeam based on first order shear deformation theory

In this research, analysis of nonlocal magneto-electro-thermo-elastic of a functionally graded nanobeamdue to magneto-electro-elastic loads has been done. In order to formulate the problem the Timoshenko theory of beams is utilized. The principle of virtual work, Hamilton’s principle as well as nonlocal magneto-electro-thermo-elastic relations has been recruited to derive the governing eq...

Supercharacters, Exponential Sums, and the Uncertainty Principle

The theory of supercharacters, which generalizes classical character theory, was recently introduced by P. Diaconis and I.M. Isaacs, building upon earlier work of C. André. We study supercharacter theories on (Z/nZ)d induced by the actions of certain matrix groups, demonstrating that a variety of exponential sums of interest in number theory (e.g., Gauss, Ramanujan, and Kloosterman sums) arise ...

Wave propagation analysis of magneto-electro-thermo-elastic nanobeams using sinusoidal shear deformation beam model and nonlocal strain gradient theory

The main goal of this research is to provide a more detailed investigation of the size-dependent response of magneto-electro-thermo-elastic (METE) nanobeams subjected to propagating wave, ...

Linking Maxwell, Helmholtz and Gauss through the Linking Integral

We take the Gauss’ linking integral of two curves as a starting point to discuss the connection between the equation of continuity and the inhomogeneous Maxwell equations. Gauss’ formula has been discussed before, as being derivable from the line integral of a magnetic field generated by a steady current flowing through a loop. We argue that a purely geometrical result such as Gauss’ formula ca...

Electromagnetic fields on a quantum scale. I.

This is the first in a series of two articles, the second of which provides an exact electro-magnetic field description of photon emission, absorption, and radiation pattern. Photon energy exchanges are analyzed and shown to be the triggered, regenerative response of a non-local eigenstate electron. This first article presents a model-based, hidden variable analysis of quantum theory that provi...
